vaOS. Pronounced vay-oss.
Which is almost the opposite of the thing it replaces.
It started life as a CRM, because that is what I went looking for and could not find. But a CRM holds contacts, and that was never the problem. The problem was the time in one place, the requests in another, the prepaid hours in a spreadsheet and today's jobs in my head.
By the time it did all of that, calling it a CRM was underselling it. It is the operating system your business runs on: the requests, the hours, the diary, the costs, the notes, the things due today. One place, one login, one search box.
Nobody built this for VAs, so I did.
I am Rory. I run a virtual assistant business in Peterborough, and I built vaOS because I could not find software that worked the way this job actually works.
Everything on the market was either a CRM built for sales teams, a project tool built for agencies, or a time tracker that knew nothing about prepaid hours. None of them understood that a VA juggles a dozen clients who each think they are your only one, and that most of the job is knowing what is waiting on whom.
So I wrote it for myself. I use it every day to run my own client work, and my clients are grateful for it: they can see where something is without emailing me to ask. When I have more work than hours, I hand some of it to an associate, and the client still only ever deals with me. Every morning the dashboard tells me what today holds, and the day starts organised instead of starting with an inbox.
Every feature in here exists because I needed it that week. When something is missing, I am the one who notices first.
